Saturday 10-7-06 Linda Mar Report

The waves picked up a bit from yesterday. A consistent waist to shoulder high with occasional head high. Not much wind, so they are pretty clean. A little soft, so I would take out a bigger or beefier board. But beware that there are hundreds of people out, so you better learn to laugh it off when someone gets in your way.

FYI the first picture was taken by a guest photographer who would like to remain anonymous.

10-6-06 Surf Report - A Little Bit Bumpy

Well, the onshore wind moved in this morning which gave the ocean a bit more texture. The size was similar to yesterday, about waist to sholder high. Every once in a while there is a nice line that peels through. I had a couple waves that had a good amount of open face to work with. Fun enough waves to make it into work late.

10-5-06 Surf report. Clean, soft, waist to shoulder high

Surprisingly, even after yesterday’s rain, the waves this morning are still very clean. The waves picked up a little from yesterday. Now they are a consistent waist high with some shoulder high sets, still a bit soft though. Looked a bit steeper on the north end.

10-4-06 Surf Report - Clean Knee to Waist High Lines

This morning at Linda Mar the surf is super clean about knee to waist high. Its a great day for beginners or to have a mellow day out on the long board. A lot less people than over the weekend. Definitely some fun waves to be had. I also checked Rockaway, but that was flat.

And a picture from the North End of LM.

Sunday 10/01 --- crowded and cloudy Linda Mar

The first day of October brought some clouds but no decent waves yet...and Linda Mar still crowded from 7am to late this afternoon!
Anyway, it should be a good day surfing for beginners and small waves surfers.
