12/30/06 OB Surf Report - 100th POST!

I surfed at OB this morning since Linda Mar was a bit small and crowded. OB was 4-6' clean, soft peeling lines. The offshore winds and the outgoing tide this morning made it a constant paddle to try and not get pushed out past the line-up. By about noon, it started getting a little textured. But when I did catch some waves there were nice hollow lefts and rights and not too bad of a crowd. It was damn cold out there. I think I'll have to invest in a hood. Anyone have any recommendations?

12/30/06 Surf Report

Waves this morning at Linda Mar are 2-3' with occasional 4' faces. Clean and soft. Better take out that longboard or fish. Lots of people have found the good waves. Get there before the early afternoon low tide. Nice clear, blue skies with air temp ~45F.

12/30/06 The Surf Report is back!

This morning there was a nice light offshore breeze and clear skies at Linda Mar. There is not too much swell out there. Waves were 1-2', but nice and clean. Mostly just breaking north of the pump house. There were a number of guys running to get into the waves. I thought that they saw something that I didn't or they were just excited to finally get rid of the stormy conditions. It sounds like it may be a bit better up at OB. Probably a longboard or fish day.
