Happy Thanksgiving - Surf Report

The swell is still pumping in today.
Linda Mar is pretty textured, 4-6'. There were a number of people catching waves down on the south end of the beach.
Here's a report for Montara from a guest reporter along with the photos - Waves are big and walled up. Overhead to 1.5X overhead, 6-8' with occasional 10'. North winds. Lots of whitewash. Not too surfable unless you are crazy.
Sounds like a day to spend with the family looking at the waves, but probably not surfing.

11/22/06 Surf Report

The swell has started moving in. At Linda Mar this morning, there is some wave energy, mostly on the north end of the beach. Waves are 6-8' clean, hollow, walls that don't look very make-able, but if you don't mind a bit of a paddle there could be some fun waves. Most guys, except for the one lone surfer who was pondering paddling out on the north end chose to go out on the south end of the beach were the waves were 1-3'. I did get to see Rockaway and Sharp Park which both were solid 6-8' as well. There was a nice cordoroy on the water at Sharp Park.
Isn't this link (left or bottom of page) for the Sharkshield fun: World's only proven Shark deterrent Used by Police and Military...any testimonials?

11/21/06 Surf Report

Waves dropped off a bit..they are 2-3' mostly walled up at LM. There is a little texture out there. There are still a handful of people out catching some closeouts and every so often they will find a short section. Its overcast and about 60 deg F. Nothing to call in sick about.

This is what it looked like yesterday...maybe a little better??

Monday 11/20/06 Surf Report

The surf this morning is once again glassy and clean at Linda Mar. Waves are 3-4', a little smaller than most of the weekend. Waves are peeling pretty nicely. It is sunny out, so if you don't have work, get out to the beach before the tide drops too low. I couldn't get the photos or videos to upload this morning, so you will just have to take my word for it.
