11/18/06 Surf Report

Its a beach day out there..nice sunny skies, offshore winds, and clean surf conditions. Waves are about 2-3' on the south end and 4-5' with occasional 6-8' on the north end. The waves are a bit closed out, but there are still some good waves to be had. But, the crowd has most certainly found this so you better make a friend.

11/17/06 Surf Report

There is some swell energy moving in out there. It was pretty tough to see due to the thick, misty fog. Linda Mar was pretty walled up, but with some makeable sections. I also checked Rockaway which didn't look too bad, though a little less consistent. I decided to paddle out on the north end of Linda Mar after seeing a few nice rights and lefts peel through and nobody out. Waves were a solid 6-8' on the north end, mostly walled. I made it through and caught a couple of fast shoulders, but after battling with the paddle for a while retreated to the middle of the beach. The middle of the beach was 3-4' still mostly walled up, but with a few sections. Yesterday was definitely the better day, but there is at least something to give you a little push. Sounds like the swell should continue through the weekend.

Thursday 11/16/06 Surf Report

Get out in the water, there are some nice waves to be had out there at Linda Mar. I went surfing at 7AM this morning and the waves were very clean, but a bit small 2-3', but as I was leaving things looked to be picking up and around 9AM when I drove off I saw a couple guys catch nice head high peeling lefts towards the north end of the beach. Sorry no pictures, but it looked similar to yesterday.

11/15/06 Surf Report - Clean Conditions

Clean, Clean, Clean! Ladies and Gentlemen. This morning the waves at Linda Mar are clean waist to shoulder high. Peeling lines, though a bit fast. Most of the waves look a little soft, but there are some steeper sections. Looks very nice out there...and it is sunny too! Catch some waves if you can.

Tuesday Morning 11/14/06

I'm back in town. Thanks to our guest reporter who gave some excellent reports.

The storm has passed through with nice clear skies, but left a stormy looking ocean. So, Linda Mar this morning had not much to ride out there. Wave heights I would say are 3-6' but very mixed up.

I was jealous to the surfer who gave the report from Diamond Head, did you make it up to the north shore, as well? Not too much of surf out on Outer Banx, NC. On saturday I caught some knee to waist high clean longboard waves. I was the only person in the water, so I had all the waves to myself, though it got a bit lonely with nobody to chat with.
